Fagersta Stainless is one of the leading producers in the world when it comes to stainless wire rod and wire. Fagersta Stainless head office and production are placed in Fagersta, Sweden. Our wire rod mill produces about 50 000 tons annually of which appr. 10 000 tons are further processed into wire. Fagersta Stainless has a turnover of approximately 160 MEUR and about 250 employees. Our products are sold worldwide directly from us or via a network of representatives. The main applications for our products are fasteners, welding wire and electrodes, springs, high temperature applications, cycle spokes, building and household applications.

Our company was founded in 1943 as "Airoldi Mario s.n.c.", a workshop based in Lecco's San Giovanni area utilised for the construction of moulds and the production of metal parts. In the mid-seventies, the company turned its focus towards the cold rolling of wire both for its own use and to be sold, before transferring to a new premises in Civate (LC) in 1993. Today, production is split over 7 lines for rolling and 2 for drawing, covering an area of ​​over 1300 square metres.
